John and Michael have worked together since 1997 and founded Form + Place in 2011 to serve commercial, residential and municipal clients. Form + Place and John Rufo Studio continue to collaborate today on urban design and architecture projects, capitalizing on complementary skills and areas of interest to create context and community informed design solutions for their clients.
Caroline Rufo - Artist / Teacher
Caroline and John are married and have two daughters. Caroline is an art teacher and practicing artist. John and Caroline occasionally collaborate directly on projects and often provide feedback and critique on their individual work and practices.
Slow River Studio - Jessica Yurwitz / Founder
John began teaching workshops at the Slow River Studio in 2023. Founded by Jessica Yurwitz in 2018 to build a community where adults can develop creative curiosity and connections, Slow River Studio features classes, workshops and events across a variety of media, genres and areas of interests.
